Zalze Cabernet Sauvignon / Shiraz Rosé 2010 Coastal Region, South Africa

Early-morning fruit picking ensures acidity is retained, which gives a lively edge to a vibrant palate. Made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Shiraz, showing some tight minerality from the gravelly soils upon which the grapes are grown. Fermented off-dry. This could be pleasurably drunk on its own or with fresh fruit. In the press: “A deliciously fruity rosé with herby, plummy, strawberry fruit and lovely fresh acidity. Nicely packaged, too. There’s plenty of flavour, but no rough edges.” Jamie Goode, Sunday Express, 7 February 2010. Red. Case of 12
