Description
This bright, lively white wine pays homage to the beautiful creature that inspired it. Fire was born a carriage horse – but such was her wild nature that the Conradie family were never able to put her under harness. Nowadays, an old photo of Fire and her foal sits on the mantlepiece in the winery’s tasting room. Many of the grapes hail from the valley of wine and roses, Robertson – one of South Africa’s best grape-growing areas. The hot, sunny climate results in healthy, ripe grapes with great freshness and flavour concentration. This Sauvignon Blanc sings with vibrant gooseberry, kiwi and passion fruit aromas and flavours, followed by a long, crisp finish. Great for solo sipping, or pair with a gently spiced curry, chicken or pork dishes.
