Description
Established in 1685 by the pioneering Nicolas de Lanoy, Boschendal estate is a cradle of history and great winemaking. It lies in the Cape, between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, and every year wins scores of medals, trophies and top marks. Careful restoration over the last decade has made it a terrific place to search out great wine. Flora and fauna conservation is a priority as well. The Pavillion showcases South Africa’s most popular white grape – Chenin Blanc – cool fermented to capture maximum tropical fruit and freshness. It certainly delivers that generously. Lots of guava and pineapple notes with citrus freshness. Chill down and serve on its own, no airs and graces, or with fish, salads or spicy dishes.
