Description
The Gabb family have been instrumental in putting South African wine on millions of dinner tables around the world over the past 30 years. Today, they channel their energy into their modestly sized winery, Journey’s End. They bought the estate in 1995 with the aim of creating the ‘Grange’ of South Africa – and their very first vintage received 5 Stars from revered critic John Platter. The property lies in Somerset West, Stellenbosch, with beautiful views across False Bay. Next door is the world-famous Vergelegen estate. Bees Knees is made by winemaker Leon Esterhuizen. He carefully cool-ferments premium parcels of Chenin Blanc and Viognier. The wine is then lees aged for extra richness and a creamy texture. A truly mouthwatering white wine.
