Fleurs Sauvages is a special cuvee of only 3000 bottles from Chateau de Combebelle. It is named for the wild flowers which bloom randomly about this organic estate and its environs.
Rustenberg Rousanne 2009 Stellenbosch
The grapes for this wine were picked and vinified in three separate batches in order to add depth and complexity to the wine. On the nose it is delicately aromatic with a hint of peach and flinty minerality while the palate is full and rich with peach and apricot flavours dominating, but these are well balanced by the freshness of green apple. Never heavy but wonderfully intense with a finish which is rich and satisfying.
Robertson Winery Merlot 2009 Robertson
The Robertson Winery is recognised today as one of South Africa’s leading cellars. Rich, dark red in colour with juicy ripe plum flavours on the palate combined with sweet black cherry notes.
Tukulu Pinotage
A towering, modern Pinotage, with cordial-like concentration topped by a soft creaminess – most remarkable.
2007 Rose Grenache, Brampton Coastal Region, South Africa
Founded over 320 years ago by a nostalgic former Rhine-dweller on the Simonsberg and Helderberg mountains, this historic estate was propelled from respected local entity to world champion standard-setter by experimentative, ingenious winemaker Adi Badenhorst. Gadget-obsessed owner Simon Barlow colluded enthusiastically, backing innovations such as aerial x-raying of vines to assess grape ripeness, and berry-sorting vibrator belts to grade out imperfect grapes.
