Spier is surely one of the most amazing wine estates anywhere in the world – home to the Cape’s oldest winery buildings, it has developed into a whole village for tourists complete with theatres, restaurants, a golf course, and cheetah and eagle encounter parks. The estate even makes its own bricks for its new buildings! They are seriously committed to the environment and are one of only three African establishments to make this impressive ‘green list’. The ‘Private Collection’ represents the winery’s flagship, special-occasion range. Select vineyard blocks from the cooler climate and ocean breezes of False Bay make for a unique Pinotage unique. Combined with the refined winemaking style, the wine captures the essence of the grape with breathtaking elegance. Do not miss it!
