The grapes for this wine were picked and vinified in three separate batches in order to add depth and complexity to the wine. On the nose it is delicately aromatic with a hint of peach and flinty minerality while the palate is full and rich with peach and apricot flavours dominating, but these are well balanced by the freshness of green apple. Never heavy but wonderfully intense with a finish which is rich and satisfying.

This Sauvignon is made by DeMorgenzon, and comes from some of the cooler slopes of the Stellenbosch area. The grapes are whole-bunch pressed for more delicate flavour, and a small percentage of the wine is fermented in two- or three-year-old French barriques.

As The Times has noted, “New World Chenin Blancs have more punch than the Gallic originals, a useful attribute given the full on flavours of modern cuisine”. This deliciously ripe white goes a step further with the addition of rich and aromatic Viognier. It’s made at the state of the art DGB cellar by winemaker Jaco Potgeiter. Jaco’s secret is to identify the best vineyards across the Western Cape and by working closely with growers, ensure perfectly ripened, hand-harvested grapes. Waterval Hoek means Waterfall Corner and it’s a place of immense beauty with stunning views of the Drakenstein mountains. Bursting with apple and apricot character this racy dry white goes really well with Summer salads or spicy fish and chicken dishes.

Low yielding Chenin Blanc bush vines produce this clean, mid-bodied fresh white wine with hints of pear and honey aromas. It is rounded and supple on the palate and has a very subtle touch of sweetness with a crisp, zesty finish. This wine is made in a light elegant style with a smooth, refreshing palate and combined with delicate tropical flavours.
