Gyles Webb, Thelema winemaker, was voted ‘Winemaker of the Year’ in 1995 by South Africa’s Wine Magazine for his determination to use good quality fruit which he believes to be the single most quality determinant in winemaking. Concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry and mocha flavours are in abundance with hints of mint and eucalyptus. A powerful wine with distinct South African character, drinking well now but will benefit from several years of ageing.
