Scarborough Reserve Cape Point Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Ocean fresh aromas of gooseberries, fresh shelled peas and asparagus mingle with intriguing notes of spice. This lovely aspect comes from the 30% of the wine that was fermented in French oak. The Reserve cuvée is the brainchild of Duncan Savage, one of South Africa’s leading Sauvignon producers. He hand selected parcels of Sauvignon from coastal vineyards, including those on the wind ravaged peninsula near the conservation village of Scarborough. This is a wine of impressive quality and finesse, drinking beautifully now in its first flush of youth. It will however continue to evolve over the next few years. Enjoy Scarborough Reserve Sauvignon with Thai coconut prawns, chicken and asparagus penne or simply by the bottle with good friends.
